Fake emails in Honda’s name
Honda is aware of fake emails, better known as ‘phishing’. Such emails can include announcements like employment advertisements, job offers, and prize winner announcements. In these emails, Honda’s name is used to make the email look authentic, but they are only intended to obtain customers’ personal data (e.g. credit card numbers or passwords). Honda is in no way involved in these emails and does not use such methods for employment advertisements or to communicate with prize winners.
Unfortunately, these fake emails are a growing form of Internet fraud. This practice is executed by means of sending a fake email to potential victims or by leading them to a website where personal data is asked.
Fake job offers are often addressed to persons abroad, as the fraudsters ask them to send them money for Belgian visas. Honda never asks for payment details with respect to applications or communication in this context. In the case of doubt about the validity of a job offer, contact Human Resources, Honda Motor Europe Logistics NV, Langerbruggestraat 104, 9000 Ghent, Belgium.
Email messages about competition prizes. Honda never asks for payment details with respect to prize winners or communication in this context. Honda recommends that you should be very careful when you receive an email in Honda’s name in which you are asked for personal or financial information and if you doubt its authenticity.

Links to third-party websites
From time to time, our website may include links to and from the websites of our partner networks, advertisers, and companies from the Honda Group. Honda is not responsible for the content of websites connected to its website. When you visit a third-person website, it is your responsibility to read the privacy policy and legal terms and conditions that apply to the respective website.

Updates to this privacy statement
Honda always reserves the right to adjust the privacy statement. This privacy statement can be updated periodically. We encourage you to check the Honda online content for amendments to this privacy statement. In some cases, we will also inform you of specific data processing activities or major amendments to this privacy statement, as required under the applicable laws.
